If you are craving to eat the best biryani in the whole wide world, you must visit Ambur. Ambur is famous for its biryani and leather factories. I was very bored one Sunday morning and I told my dad that I was craving to eat some yummy biryani. He paused for a moment and asked me to get ready and we left. He made me drive for about 8kms towards Porur. Maplai is an authentic South Indian restaurant which serves Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra style food. The restaurant is located in Nungambakkam, Chennai. It is a one of a kind restaurant and its staff and servers are named after famous movie titles and personalities like 'Chitti', 'Puli', and 'Basha'. This restaurant is purely South Indian and the menu ranges from a yummy line of beverages like panagam, mojitos, rose milk, lassi, etc.. The starters are extraordinary, being a hardcore non-vegetarian I had a feast over the starters. Next moving on to the main course, I ordered the Maplai Biryani Virundhu. You get a choice of your biryani from choosing either the Kerala style Talassery biryani or the Ambur style biryani or the Madurai style biryani. I chose the Ambur style biryani. You also get parotta, raitha, chicken gravy and chicken fry along with the biryani. The best part is that all this is UNLIMITED at a cost of rupees 599* per head. So g
